Résumé
~See below~
More about me:
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing from The University of the Arts, Philadelphia Pa., and an Associates in Dental Hygiene with 3 licenses allowing me to practice in 15 states.

Thriving on details and gravitating to projects that require a great deal of focus and fine work bring forth one of my best qualities ~ patience.

I am fortunate to devote most of my time to my art, allowing me to develop my "Precious Lidded Pots" (copyright 2009, all rights reserved), incorporating my jewelry with pottery in a series of using only precious stones and elements.
My "Sexy Tree Lady" (copyright 2009, all rights reserved) has evolved out of a need to solve the challenges of display. Now they represent myself and the jewelry identifying my work to my viewer in a more exotic sculpturesque manner.

While in art school and throughout the years, clay has helped me to balance the exacting nature of making jewelry, and the detail orientated life I have become accustomed to.

The jewelry I create is concentrated in rich exotic pearls and precious stones with dangling elements, whether they be from the necklace, bracelet, or earrings. I have always thought jewelry should have movement and pearls especially have play in iridescence and opalescent color. I have also NEVER followed a trend, and designed and make what feels and looks beautiful to a person, or what simply makes them feel good.

Where we live in the Tampa Bay area is so beautiful: its weather and casual attitude, this freedom is truly a gift. Seeing a palm tree outside my window is something I have always dreamt of having.
I cannot imagine anything better.

CURRENT VENUES:

THE FLORIDA CRAFTSMAN GALLERY

The "go with absolutely everything" "Dangle Necklace" is featured here
at The Florida Craftsman Gallery. A neutral yet slightly bluish iridescent nugget Keshi pearl necklace/bracelet/ and if you are are SUPER SKINNY~ belt! is part of the exclusive pieces available here....Plus there are two tiny very special little "Precious Lidded Pots" (copyright 2008, all rights reserved), both Soda fired, but very much opposite outcome. Interestingly enough, the same glaze, the same kiln. Very different results. All of my "PLP's" are unique and will never be made again- practically impossible to replicate.
All of my "Precious Lidded Pots" are adorned with precious gems and exotic pearls.

You may notice my new "Sexy Tree Ladies" (copyright 2009, all rights reserved), presenting the jewelry. One of them is The "Salted Sexy Tree Lady" (Salt reduction firing), and another has been fired in an Anagama Kiln, an Ancient Japanese traditional wood firing- for 7 days-continuously. The firing was headed by the "honorable" Don Rietz, and John Ballesteri a reknown professor in Bowling Green Ohio. This "Naked Anagama Sexy Tree Lady" has no glaze. It has a wonderful texture on the outside. It is as if the "skin" is mummified and it had been discovered from many years ago.

(The Sexy Tree Ladies, copyright 2009, all rights reserved, are intended for display purposes only and are not for sale).

Take the opportunity to see artists from all over our area. I would love you for you to see my work! Several of the pieces are actually seen below... Please Email me with any questions. Elizabeth or Maggie can contact me for you anytime.

The techniques mentioned above and glazes I used were done at
