MY OTHER VENUES:
One of a kind gifts as ours offer the person who has everything something NO ONE can POSSIBLY HAVE. I myself would never be able to duplicate some of my peices.
The sculptures displaying the jewelry are my "Sexy Tree Ladies" (Copyright 2007-2014, All Rights Reserved),. One of them is The "Salted Sexy Tree Lady" (Salt reduction firing), and another has been fired in an Anagama Kiln at St. Pete Clay Company, an Ancient Japanese traditional wood firing- for 7 days-continuously.
The firing is traditionally headed by the "honorable" Don Rietz, John Balistreri a world reknown professor in Bowling Green Ohio, the famous Chris Gustin of Massachusetts and Matt Long of Mississippi. McKenzie Smith, and John Jessiman were also here for one of our last firings with the original owners, about 3 years ago. McKenzie Smith, one of my favorite ceramic artists, can be found in our area, not too far from us.
The "Naked Anagama Sexy Tree Lady" is one of the "Ladies" fired without any glaze. It has a wonderful texture on the outside. It is as if the "skin" is mummified and has been discovered from many years past.
