Sounds good. 11:30am beats the lunch rush so I will be there around 11:30/45. See you then!

Absolutely. I think I could definitely sell the MFA :) I am an enthusiast for IADT because it has helped me network and develop as a designer.

I teach portfolio students and I have actually seen your site already - I am always curious as to what/how people design their sites. Looks like you are updating it... I know I need to update mine (it's been awhile and my students check on my updates from time to time and laugh at the fact i tell them to update every few months).

My husband is a web developer / designer as well (aka FLASH GURU). He currently works with huge clients like walmart.com & sams club. I always drag him to my classes just so they can ask random questions and teach tricks and how to use/apply flash. I am sure if we go to lunch (at outback or somewhere) you guys will go on your rants ...Let me know when a good day is and we will schedule it. Outback home office is right next to the stadium and we could go to outback or selmon's.

Not really a Saints fan... I grew up closer to Texas but loved the Colts since I was really small.

You sure have moved around. Are you planning on staying in Tampa? I really want to move to Atlanta one day. I received my Masters from International Academy of Design and Technology [academy.edu] - that is also where I teach - the campus is located right off of the veterans (by Hillsborough Ave). They have a MFA in media design management (which has been developing well ever since starting in 2006). I don't regret enrolling at all - I always wanted to teach but never thought it was possible so early. My students rock and I enjoy teaching to the fullest! I don't teach full-time because I work my normal hours at Outback home office and enjoy it as well. It is fun to inspire the up-and-coming designers ... they connect with me because I am not that much older than them and I work in the field. They love asking me questions about what I did that day or how my conversations with a freelance client went over the weekend. You should definitely look into getting your MFA - it just makes you feel like you have something to offer people that are looking for advice and words of wisdom.

Glad you survived the cuts at your work... I couldn't imagine the stress of worrying. You must be beneficial to the Bucs!

I use to have spare time for meetup groups but now I am only involved with TBAF and the IADT alumni association. The TBAF luncheons and events normally happen during work and it is easier to schedule. Are you a member of Ad2 or Ad Fed?

No, I am from Louisiana. Moved here in 2002 because there was nothing in LA for me. Went to IADT for 6 years (AS, BFA & Master) then starting teaching right after receiving my MFA.
Did you move to Tampa to work specifically for the Bucs? When I went for my 3 interview sessions there, it was nothing but guys that interviewed me... is it the same way now?

I interviewed for the Bucs years ago (before I received my AS) and they were looking for more flash experience. Very long interview process but I kicked myself for not knowing enough at that time. Do you enjoy working there?
