It starts with a lo whisper... and...
Hello ALL! My next upcoming project will be helmed by myself... finally I decided to do it! I will be putting out ads for the next few months as we gain more momentum for it. It will be a feature film and more info will come forthwith as it is decided. Get any reels or resumes ready for the inevitable last minute call for feature film help needed. I will be looking for everything... cast, crew, & contractors.

Thank you for listening!

Salutations, fellow thespians. I am the Artistic Director of Island Community Theatre.

Our motto is "Live Theater for the Movie Generation" (unoffcially we call ourselves "The Drinking Club with a Theater Problem"). Our passion is theater. We are a fiesty little not-for-proft organization with big ideas. A big part of our mission is to attract new audiences who may not have had the experience of live theater. To that end, we strive to do material that has marquee recognition but is not "typical" community theater fare, plays that offer artistic satisfaction to actors, designers, technicians and theater-goers.

Our current show is "Crimes of the Heart." Recent productions include an updated version of "The Seven Year Itch," "The House of Frankenstein," "The Graduate," "Harold & Maude," "Miracle on 34th Street," "Rocky Horror Show - The Musical," and an adaptation of several episodes of "Fawlty Towers." You get the picture...

Hi. I'm a member of Showcase Arts Foundation, Inc. a non-profit arts group dedicated to promoting the arts through education and performance. We have several performance groups, including a Rep company, improv troupe and a vaudeville/burlesque style group. We also sponsor the Dunedin Showcase Theater, a community theater company performing at the Dunedin Community Center. If you'd like more info, go to our website: www.showcaseartsfoundation.org.

OPEN AUDITIONS:
Ellen Mueller is seeking physical and improvisational performers of all types for two free collaborative workshops exploring the concepts of success and evaluation.

About the Workshops and Ellen Mueller:
These two free workshops will be led by Ellen Mueller at the University of South Florida Marshall Student Center, February 28 & March 1, Noon – 4:00pm, and April 4 & 5, Noon - 4:00pm. The approach for these workshops is based on techniques gleaned from yoga, the Brave New Institute – an improvisation training center in Minneapolis, MN, the Theatre of the Emerging American Moment – a theatre company dedicated to dissecting and celebrating the experience of living in America today, and Viewpoints – a technique for building ensembles and creating movement. Specifically, we will explore our collective response to the concepts of success and evaluation. Our goal is to gather and develop images, ideas, questions, situations, and characters through the practice of movement and improvisational exercises. Participants can expect to learn about the Eight Secrets of BNW Creativity, as well as an approach to collaborative creation. The material collected will be used as research for new performance works, and may lead to future collaborations with workshop participants.

Ellen Mueller was raised in Fargo, ND and currently lives and works in Tampa, FL. She received a BA in Theatre and Art, and a BS in Design Technology from Bemidji State University. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Studio Art with emphasis on performance at University of South Florida. For more information about recent projects, please visit EllenMueller.com
